ProxMonitors, or proximity monitors, can help us track how we’re doing.
We’ll collect links to ProxMonitors here, for various different proximities. These will be your favorite links and ours, so contact us with suggestions. If you want to know more about ProxMonitors in general, see this page.
In general, how sustainable are different proximities? Very generally, the following is probably true.
Proximity: Global - NOT sustainable.
Proximities: Regional - NOT sustainable.
Proximities: Local - NOT sustainable.
Proximities: Micro - Perhaps some are sustainable, such as organic farms or individual buildings.
So, there is probably plenty to do!
More specific ProxMonoitors can help us track our progress. Here are a few ProxMonitor links to get us started:
CO2 Now
Proximity: Global
See the most current CO2 level and what it means. This one is important. Some people think we should get the number down to 350. The button in the upper right of every page takes you to this link too.
